I received word a few weeks ago that my conference paper titled: “Water, Rights, and Resilience: Okinawa’s Battle Against PFAS Contamination and the Question of Indigeneity” has been accepted for presentation at East-West Centre’s International Graduate Student Conference in Hawaii next February.
It is a pleasure to be accepted to present at the conference my ongoing work on the PFAS problem in Okinawa to a broader audience. My work links with the key themes of the conference in illuminating the periphery as well as tying in with key areas of politics, environment, indigeneity and governance in the Asia-Pacific.
Hope to see some of you in Hawaii next year.
